12/2009 – Present Founder& Principal of J.R. Huckel & Associates, a firm that provides advice and counsel to Halls of Fame regarding elections and inductions
5/2000 – 12/2009 Director of Museum and Archives, Public Relations Manager, National Soccer Hall of Fame, Oneonta, NY.
Responsible for museum exhibits and the collection, managing the Hall of Fame election program, the Induction Weekend program, the education program, maintaining communications with Hall of Famers and public relations with other constituent groups, such as media.
1980 2000 Men’s Soccer Coach at Skidmore College, Maine Maritime Academy, and George Mason University. Various teaching and additional coaching responsibilities at each institution.
1968 1981 Teacher and coach at several schools in Connecticut, Colorado, New Jersey, and Virginia. Taught mathematics and physical education and coached multiple sports.

Earned United States Soccer Federation ‘A’ License and National Soccer Coaches Association of America Premier Diploma, highest soccer coaching accreditation available in the United States.
Attended Canadian Soccer Association Preliminary Badge course instructed by Charles Hughes, Vancouver, 1984
